Discover DC with NAAAP DC: Celebrating Asian Female Business Owners

March 18, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us in the celebration of Women’s History Month in Adams Morgan!

We are spotlighting two Asian female business owners from Death Punch and Town Tavern. Enjoy libations while hearing from two inspirational female leaders in DC’s restaurant industry.

SPOT 1 – Death Punch, 2321 18th St NW, Washington, DC 20009, 6-7:30 PM: From the chef who brought the first Izakaya to Washington DC, comes an intimate vision of Japanese street food by Darren Norris and his wife, Candice Wise-Norris. Together, they opened a three level Japanese complex in Adams Morgan.

SPOT 2 – Town Tavern, 2323 18th St NW, Washington, DC 20009, 7:30-9 PM: Gracie has been a service industry professional for over 20 years and is the proprietor of Town Tavern DC. She is proud to count her establishment as one of D.C.’s few woman and minority-owned and operated bars/restaurants, focusing on creating a space that is welcoming to all.

Transportation Options:

  • Closest metro is Dupont (red line)
  • Colonial Parking Garage (2328 Champlain St. NW)
  • Or street parking (limited spots available)

We encourage all attendees to be fully vaccinated and encourage those who are not fully vaccinated to wear masks when not actively eating or drinking.
