Read and Wine: Nonviolent Communication April Edition

April 28, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Have you ever faced any uncomfortable communications? Have you ever been afraid of having a difficult conversation with someone? April’s book selection is all about strategic communication! This book is to help you increase your ability to live with choice, meaning, and connection, connect empathically with yourself and others, and share resources so everyone is able to benefit from. This book has been sold for over 2 million copies and translated into 35 languages.

Our selection of this month’s wine is either paired with the title/topic of the book and purposely selected to welcome the spring season! Note that all three wines are available at McLean’s Total Wine location.

Whispering Angel Rose from France*

Jadot Beaujolais Villages Gamay from France*

OneHope Cabernet Sauvignon from California

*wines that need refrigeration prior to drinking

Whispering Angel Rose was selected not only because of the title that fits the communication theme but also to celebrate the spring weather with complimentary sips of fruit that’s not over the top but just enough!

Jadot Beaujolais Villages Gamay was primarily selected because of the grape & season. Although a red wine, Gamay’s are to be refrigerated prior to enjoyment. This crisp fruit forward wine is best served chilled, with grilled meats during warm weather.

Lastly, OneHope is a wine company built on a “Share Wine, Give Hope” message. Through the sale of each wine bottle, this company has donated over $6M to initiatives including building schools in other countries, cancer foundations and research, and saving the trees.
